All the information you will ever need in one bok
I got this book as a present when we first started to grow veg on our new allotment. It has all the information you will ever need, whether you are a complete beginner or been growing your own for a few years. It has small sections on each type of fruit and veg which makes it very easy to read. It also covers the different pests you might come across as well as giving you a crop planner, to help you know when to plant what. Overall a fab book that I recommend anyone with an interest in growing fruit and veg should buy.

Tells You all you Need to Know
We bought this for our daughter who is just getting into growing her own food, and she loves it. Everything you need to know about growing your own is here, all the excitement and pitfalls of vegetable growing given in plain English that anyone can understand.

This easy to follow and well written (and laid out) book is a must for the budding fruit and vegetable grower, especially good for the Organic Gardener. Like nearly all DK books, it is a delight to the eye and beautifully laid out.

This book makes a super present for someone who is thinking about growing their own and needs that little push to get them started.

The only book you'll need
This book is superb, very thorough in its approach to all aspects of vegetable and fruit gardening including soil preparation and common pests and disease. There is basic information for the beginner, as well as more advanced techniques such as training espalier fruit trees. There is also a very handy month-by-month guide to preparation and planting. There is also detailed information on the various cultivars available for each type of fruit and vegetable, together with guidance as to which soils and regions of the country in which they will grow best. All in all, this book will cover all your requirements for the successful planning and planting of fruit and vegetables.
