Disappointing3
I purchased this book on the strength of the reviews, hoping that it would provide some inspiration for my next piece. Unfortunately, all this book really does is provide details of common tattoo symbols and meanings, along with some information about the history of tattooing around the world. The main problems with this book are that it lacks good pictures and examples, and that most of the background information can be found out easily on the internet. I'm also fairly certain that some of the examples of larger tattoos at the top of the pages are simply pictures of models with imitation tattoos drawn on. I would therefore only recommend this book for people who want to know more about common styles and themes, and no those who wish to look at decent examples of work.

a must for all Tattoo fans5
Not just for Tattoo artists! Plenty of inspiration for those of us that like to be on the other end of the needle too! Covers the whole spectrum of styles and beautifully presented. All my friends, even the ones without tattoos, spend ages looking through it. It may even have convinced some to take the plunge.
Great book!

A well designed and informative book well worth the purchase price. A good guide to the whole subject of getting a tattoo be you novice or 'inked'.
