An essential guide for anyone starting qualitiative research
Unlike other books on qualitative research methods, this book is practical and guides the reader through the stages of developing grounded theory. This second edition provides illustrative examples which clarify what could otherwise be a dry exposition of methodology and help the novice researcher understand how the method looks in practice. If anyone is looking for a handbook on grounded theory, this is the one to get. The book has been kept to a manageable size so there has not been space to discuss this particular method in the context of qualitative research in general but the authors make a convincing case, nonetheless.

The Bible for the Grounded Theory Approach
This book is a must to read for any researcher considering a qualitative approach where a theory could emerge.
It is very thourough in providing guidelines and procedures. All put in an easy to read format.
Based on my personal experience and struggle with other research books, I strongly recommend it.
