You too can make a landscape quilt!
If you thought you could never make a landscape quilt then think again and buy this book. OK,it is also true that the author's quilts look deceptively simple until you try to copy one - you need to be an expert in colour to achieve her results with very few pieces of fabric.

However, once you have read through the general section for constructing a landscape you can then follow the instructions for one of the several patterns in the book, and you'll be surprised at what you can achieve with fewer than 10 small pieces of different fabrics. The author also covers various techniques to personalize your landscape, such as layering tulle, paint sticks, beading and embroidery but none of them requires an expert's knowledge.

And for those who still think you need a lot of fabric for a quilt, just look at a student's miniature quilt on page 87, shown in actual size, 4 x 3", made from scraps that most people would throw away. Very impressive.

My own style is a bit different, but I have gained many ideas from this very nice book.
