Nice bloke, wish the book was as nice...
I've trained several times in the past with Sensei Vince Morris and he's a nice person, a good instructor and a good Karateka. So maybe I was expecting too much...

The book is good but I feel that it tries to do too much too quickly, either less techniques with more detail or more 'book' is what I would have liked.

The pictures are (for me) on the small side and I feel that Sensei Morris makes the same mistake that a lot of writers make when they write about martial arts - including a bit of history and a bit of medical theory and a bit of... I wish authors would write a book on each subject that takes their fancy rather than bits - it simply doesn't do justice to any of the subjects touched on (pressure point pun intended).

Now, in fairness other people's opinions may be different and if you like books that cover a wide area relatively simply then this may be right up your street.

One thing that can be said is that the vast majority of techniques shown actually work - not always the case by any means in books on this subject!!!

I guess I want an expanded edition - Vol II please Vince :)
