About the Author
Becky Kemery was introduced to yurts at a retreat center in the early '90's. Since then she has lived in four different yurts in three states, through both harsh winters and scorching summers. Becky's unique experience as a yurt dweller means that her advice and expertise is unmatched, from the mistakes and potential pitfalls to the sheer joy of living in a beautiful round space. Kemery currently lives on a permaculture-based homestead in the mountains of North Idaho, in a rustic setting surrounded by herb and vegetable gardens where moose and wild turkeys pay regular visits.

A fascinating little book on alternative housing
I found this book enthralling, it totally opened my eyes to an alternative living style. I initially thought yurts were just like tents, but this has educated me and got me hooked. It has many examples of the different styles and usage of yurts, and there's an incredible amount of knowledge from people's many years of experience of living in yurts. There are gorgeous colour photos and clear floor plans, and there's a resource guide at the end of the book. I definitely recommend this book.
