Great reading
I really enjoyed this book. The author gets a little side-tracked at times from his project but the stories are always entertaining and there's a wonderful sense of irony throughout. Recommended for porsche lovers everywhere.
Not unreadable, but rather dull.
I was expecting this book to be about the personal trials and tribulations of one man's attempt to rebuild a classic 911. However I was disappointed to find that the majority of the book is not porsche related at all, with the general format being that each chapter will open with a page or two about the author's 911 project, before diverging on to some rambling tale from his past for the rest of the chapter. That wouldn't be so bad, but unfortunately the author's writing style leans towards the cynical whilst also being completely devoid of humour. And there is the problem - this book is just a rather dull autobiography of someone you've never heard of.
