Never judge a book by its cover!4
Don't be misled by the title of this book. It is NOT "More Making Books by Hand", it's just "Making Books by Hand". The copy I have only has the word "More" on the inside and not on the outer cover, I don't know why the authors let the publishers get away with this glaring mistake.

That said, I found this book inspiring and creative, though the instructions on making the books could have used less words and still have been easy enough to follow. If the authors had used more diagrams and less words, they could've squeezed maybe 5 or 6 more book-making projects into this book. There are 12 projects explained in detail, with full-colour photos: 1)miniature case-bound book, 2)accordion book with pockets, 3)case-bound fold-out accordion book, 4)nested accordion pop-up-fold book, 5)accordion pleat spine stab-sewn book, 6)case-bound pocket portfolio, 7)dowel spine portfolio, 8)scrolling book, 9)flap book, 10)dowel hinge spine accordion book, 11)found object books, 12)hollow book. Some of the techniques are unique to the authors, who have been generous enough to share them with the world.

That's my only gripe about this book - the unneccessary use of too many words where pictures would have served just as well; otherwise I'd have given it a rating of 5 stars. An excellent effort!

Be warned1
This book is not a 'supplement' to the book 'Making Books By Hand' as you might guess from the the title, but merely a reprint published in the US. In other words, it is an exact copy and should definitely not be ordered with a view to extending information found in 'Making Books By Hand'!

Innovative and inspiring5
You are shown, step by step and very clearly, how to make a variety of unusual and imaginative books, and the ilustrations will surely fire your own creative engines, and send you along a diversity of roads.

A useful, welcome addition to the library of any any artist or book maker.
