This is not your ordinary felting book! "Felt Frenzy" explores all the major techniques of felt making, from knit-and-shrink to wet felting, needlefelting, and "recycled felting" - turning salvaged wool sweaters into useful felt pieces - plus ways to combine techniques for creative and unique results. Designed with the absolute beginner in mind, "Felt Frenzy" is packed with 27 projects and photographs of more than 50 before-and-after felted yarn combinations so readers can easily customize patterns with substitutions of their choice. You'll find instructions for the ever-popular felted bag, but it doesn't stop there - learn to make felted flowers, hats, jackets, scarves, wool sneakers, even a nuno felted skirt. As an added bonus, you'll find "design ideas" scattered throughout the book to give your projects an extra creative boost; these suggestions help integrate felt into other fiber arts, from embroidery to shibori. Learn all about fiber types, tools for getting started, and the four major techniques needed to create the projects in the book. Armed with plenty of information and the authors' can-do spirit, any crafter can add felting to her repretoire with "Felt Frenzy"!

Customer Reviews
Excellent all rounder
I ordered this book along with a few others when I got the 'felting' bug. This was the best of the lot with various techniques and projects not just on wet felting but dry felting, using old jumpers and knitting for felting. A good all rounder and with lovely photographs and interesting projects to try.
great - ful of experiment results, ideas and projects to try
I bought this looking for new ways to use shrunken jumpers, handmade felt and to play around with the concept of small scale felting. This book was perfect, it provided some sharp insights into the authors own felting experiments and what had worked for them and things to try at home it also provided some beautifully illustrated projects. Although I am not going to work with the felted slippers, there are other bags, hats and wraps etc worth doing - hurray a great book for me a first time felter.
