An excellent book that makes kids WANT to read!
I have just completed reading this fascinating adventure. It immediately grabbed my attention, which never wavered for one moment throughout the entire story. The author seems to be extremely creative and expressive in his representation of the possibiltity of what might be in the not-too- distant future. This is a fresh new idea, one that is bound to enthrall children of all ages and give them the URGE to read it, in its entirety. I give this story a very deserving 5 stars and although I have never heard of this author previously, I hope that he has only begun to write such captivating and interesting adventures for all to read and enjoy.

A futuristic adventure perfect for reluctant readers.
This book is great! The fast paced story, combined with excellent artwork, makes this comic/chapter book hybrid a perfect title for the most reluctant reader.

Set in the not-so-distant future, Jemma and Daniel are trapped in a Virtual Reality world gone mad. Together they must overcome computer game villains, shape-shifters and beasts that devour digital data.

'System Shock' and the rest of the Graffix series of books are great tools for teachers and parents who have kids that just aren't into reading. Bound like chapter books, but using the comic book style, these books overcome the barrier of 'too much text' that often intimidates some children.

If you know a young Sci-fi and video game junkie, that won't go near books, then pick up 'System Shock' and turn them on to reading!
