Product Description

The digital camera is such a miraculous device that few of us ever really learn to fully master its amazing technical capabilities. We all fall prey to the same temptation: As soon as we get our hands on one, we rush off and start taking pictures.

101 Digital Photo Tips in easy steps is designed to turn your fun camera gadget into a creative picture-making tool. With clearly written text and helpful sidebar tips, this primer teaches you camera techniques; the nuances of lighting indoors and out; the subtleties of exposure and metering; and even the fine art of keeping the camera steady. Its radiant full color photographs illustrate the do’s and don’t’s of cropping, focusing, and settings.

But this nifty photo tip handbook doesn’t stop there. It contains individual chapters on photographing people, architecture, and landscapes. The final section of the book covers advanced topics such as taking action photos, sharpening your composition techniques, and taking pictures at night or under extreme weather conditions.

In short, 101 Digital Photo Tips in easy steps can enhance your picture-taking pleasure — and the quality of your pictures for as long as you keep clicking!

Customer Reviews

Good, basic introduction.5
This is a very basic introduction to digital photography. Written in a clear and simple style and well illustrated, it is an excellent introductory book for someone new to shutter speeds, exposure and F numbers, not wanting to get bogged down in technical jargon.

I am delighted with the results of the photographs taken with help from the advice given in this book.
