Product Description

This authoritative guide to flower-arranging combines stylish and innovative design ideas with comprehensive coverage of an ever-popular subject and covers all the materials, techniques and information needed to produce creative flower arrangements. Every aspect of floral design is explained in detail and illustrated with special photography which brings a visually strong and practical approach to the subject. Step-by-step photography explains techniques, and gives the reader the necessary information to create floral designs of their own, rather than expecting the reader to slavishly follow the illustrated design. An illustrated plant directory gives some of the author's favourite flowers, plants and foliage that she uses for her floral displays, accompanied by notes on their symbolism and uses, to help the reader to produce their own creative and floral design.

Customer Reviews

Great ideas which are easy to recreate at home5
The pictures in this book are to die for, the colours are just so vibrant. Jane Packer makes the most sophisticated of arrangements easy and straightforward for even complete beginners like me. Her ideas are fun and original.

Disappointing2
I have several of Jane Packer's books and have enjoyed them all, again and again, immensely. However, I found the page design of this book so irritating that I lost the desire to read what was no doubt an interesting text. The many close-up, out-of-focus shots of flowers and often-tiny font sizes lost against dark backgrounds, meant it was visually displeasing. Having been so delighted in the past, I was very disappointed on this occasion. Oh dear.

Fantastic5
A beautiful book with excellent photography and content.
