Average customer review:Product Description
Inspired by her travels in the Far East and understanding of the principles of space and proportion, Kelly Hoppen's rooms proclaim an ability to mix materials and textures in neutral backgrounds for a look that is in tune with modern western consciousness. This work shows how you can create this cool modern look on a modest budget. Starting with an outline of her signature principles, the book examines the key topics of understanding space, making an impact, living with the seasons, feeding the senses, defining public and private spaces, creating mood with lighting and introducing improvised and unexpected touches to free the imagination.

Customer Reviews
Inspiring and useful
I found this book particularly useful in focusing more on all the idea I had for my new appartment. As the title of the book implies, it gives attention to details in design that really can make a hole difference! The book explains things like how to assess a space, spaces between objects, harmony between the rooms, symetry and asymetry, cushions , reflections an echoes and other issues such as scent and flowers. I loved it!
its all in the details
Alot of people focus on the big things in interiors but forget how important the details are. Wonderful book to refresh your perspective on what you are doing and a fab guide for inspiration.
Possibly to close up
The photography or image cropping in this book has been done very well. It is a very pleasant book and a good concept; however it's almost too close up to see the impact of the detailing. Its subject matter is very domestic, so of now real value to commercial interior designers looking for inspiration.
