It is exactly like the film!
If you have seen the 2004 film of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, there isn't much point buying this book as it is basically identical to the film. A lot of the speech is exactly the same and there are no new parts that were not in the film. I'm a fan of film novels but this has to be one of my least favourites. However, if you have not seen the film you may enjoy it.
The only unique part, this book has to offer is that there is a small section revealing what actually happened to leather face, but to be honest it is a bit far-fetched.
This book is quite well written, but I'd recommend just watching the movie.
I would recommend this to people looking for an easy read, but it may not be suitable for younger readers due to the bad language and references to drugs, and in many ways this book may not be appropriate for the light-hearted as it gives detailed and explicit descriptions of people being murdered.
