About the Author
Carol Klein has loved gardening all her life. For the past 25 years she has run Glebe Cottage Plants, her thriving nursery in Devon. She has exhibited for many years at major UK flower shows and won six Gold Medals at the Chelsea Flower Show. Her regular writing, radio, broadband and TV work has made her one of the UK's most influential gardeners. In Grow Your Own Fruit she rediscovers the joy of providing organic food for her family and delights in sharing her experience with first timers and old hands alike. Grow your own fruit
An excellent reference book for anyone wishing to grow fruit with Carol Klein's enthusiam spilling over. Covers everything you need to know for growing tree fruit, soft fruit, vine fruit and nuts with also a short section on the more unusual such as passion fruit, pomegranate, huckleberry to name a few. There are recommended varieties for each fruit and lots of tips and advice. Not only informative but an enjoyable read if you are a keen gardener.Grow Your Own Fruit (Rhs)
Another good guide
If you know and like Carol Klein's Grow Your Own Veg (Rhs) then this new book is reasonably familiar territory. The main differences are that this does not (yet) have a TV series tie-in and a lot more of the text reads dryly as if it was written by earnest people from the RHS.
It is a good introduction - It loses 1 star from me as it does omit Rhubarb !!
Grow Your Own Fruit by Carol Klein
Useful guide for new fruit growers with tips to identify the right variety for your requirements and site. Easy to understand notes on how to choose, plant, care for, harvest & enjoy the fruits of your labours.
Great companion to 'Grow Your Own Veg' also by Carol Klein.
