Product Description

How do you combine colours without them clashing? How do you know which colours will complement each other for a subdued effect, and which will give a more energised feel? This inspirational handbook contains over 200 colour scheme ideas for interior designers and home decorators. Discover how colour can be used to create ambience, or to give the illusion of space, depth, warmth and light. Divided into the major colour groups, each section explores a range of hues, from primary brights to the palest of pastels, presenting failsafe palettes for refreshingly original interior schemes.

Customer Reviews

uninspiring1
This book is as un-inspiring as it can get. Very little text, which could be compensated by beautiful pictures but instead it shows a full page of the colour but does not show how it can be used.
Maybe helpful for combining colours if you already know what main colour to use from the beginning, otherwise just get a sample booklet from your DIY store, it's just as helpful, and at least it's free. Very disappointing.

Great Little Book4
I think this book is a must for Interior Designers who are just starting out or have just graduated who don't have a good grasp of what colours to mix and match.

Granted it would have been much better if there were photographs of different rooms showing how the colour schemes would work with fabrics etc but if you're a budding Interior Designer then you'll be able to visualise all the colours suggested just fine!

Fantastic colour bible5
This book is a great basic tool when decorating at home. It is always so daunting when faced with hundreds of colours in the DIY shops. This book really breaks down different colour families and gives lots of great ideas on colour combinations. Its a shame there are not more inspiring images, but the colour shades really helped me.
