This book is really fresh and easy to follow. This book is not like so many flower books that are aimed at older or more experienced people with tasks that you can not follow or feel look like something your gran would love but forget any younger generations.
This would be a great gift for a bride who wants to save money or for someone who is helping the bride. Buy the book, try the tasks and then experiment! Enjoy.

Lovely to look at but you're unlikely to use it for your big day4
I bought this book for my own wedding which was arranged comparatively quickly. I had in mind to try to save money by making my own flowers. Especially as no one in my local area would guarantee non-flown flowers and I really didn't want "air" flowers with their big carbon footprint.

It was a lovely read and well written. It helped to solidify in my mind what I wanted for my wedding. However, what it instructs you to do is still quite complex and the floristry supplies cost and arm and a leg! It is actually cheaper to just research the flowers that will be in season in the UK, and have a word with the local florists about using these. In the end, I opted for a bouquet of all seasonal flowers (which luckily became available in time for our wedding). Having now been through our wedding I can categorically state that it was worth it. You don't need loads of flowers, but what you do get needs to be durable and beautiful, and florists are best trusted to do this. Word of caution - always take word of mouth recommendations.

And as someone who witnessed the row between a bride and her Mum about the flowers, I can also say this is the type of task where letting the professionals take care of it saves you the bad blood, on a very special day. However, I can also say that if it came to it I would have no hesitation about using this book to help a friend in need out with table and other decorative features.
