A superbly produced introduction to these useful plants.
This is a fine introduction to these intriguing - and currently fashionable - plants by an accessible designer/writer. The book has two main areas of interest, the first looking at grasses and bamboos from the design perspective, the second an extremely useful A-Z reference listing of more than eighty plants. The assistance of a grass and bamboo grower as consultant ensures clear and detailed information on cultural requirements. A commendable text beautifully produced and featuring the most exquisite plant photography by Andrea Jones; the book is almost worth buying for the dust jacket alone.

Grasses and Bomboos: Using Form and Shape t Create Visual Inpact in the Garden
I had not planted grasses before. The author's book was so compelling, he has converted me. I am about to plant several grasses in various parts of my garden for greater impact and fluidity of design. I am looking forward to the finished picture next season. This is a wonderful book, full of expert advice and beautifully illustrated by his photographer. Claire T Clements
