Product Description

Somewhere, somehow Scot Harvath has left the wrong person alive ...In the dead of night, five of the most dangerous detainees in the war on terror are pulled from their isolation cells in Guantanamo Bay, stripped of their orange jumpsuits, given civilian clothes and driven to the base airfield where they are loaded aboard a Boeing 727 and set free. Six months later, covert counterterrorism agent Scot Harvath awakes to discover that his world has changed violently and forever. A sadistic assassin is unleashing nightmarish horrors on those closest to Harvath in pursuit of a bloodthirsty personal vendetta. Ordered by the president to stay out of the investigation, Harvath is forced to mount his own operation to uncover the assassin's identity. When he discovers a connection between the attacks and a group of prisoners secretly released from Guantanamo, Harvah must ask himself previously unthinkable questions about the organization and the nation he has spent his life serving.

Simply told story simply brilliantly told.5
I have loved every Brad Thor book bar Blowback which did not involve Scot Harvarth. This one is so great as it takes over completely seemlessly from the Takedown that was astonishing. This book is not quite Takedown but a brilliant read and amazing characters such as the Troll who controls a hive of data sold to the highest bidder who owns 2 massive dogs. The way Thor brings in characters from the past books and expands on the characters of the President and his aides is brilliant and the action both original and breat taking. Only 1 piece of advise is to read the Scot Harvarth books in order starting with his best The Lions Of Lucerne. You will love them!

Harvath on the hunt!5
I have been eagerly anticipating the release of this book since I finished "Takedown" last year, and let me start by saying it is worth wait! The story picks up where the last one left off: Tracy Hastings is in deep coma and Scot Harvath is by her side anxiously praying for her recovery. At this same time five terrorist are being release from Gitmo as part of a hostage deal. One of these characters begins hunting down Haravath's friends but President Jack Rutledge wont let Scot go after the bad guy. Of course this does not stop our hero who is soon on the hunt while trying to avoid capture by his own government. Many of our old friends are back in this one, including Scot's old evil opponent the Troll. Thore knows how to pack more pulse pounding thrills into a single page then just about any thriller author out there. Don't miss this one! And speaking of ripping good thrillers I have to recommend the cult thriller hit "TOURIST IN THE YUCATAN"

haunting!!4
Brad thor has definetly a writing meeting experience skills and first commandement is no exception. here the superhero Scott harvath experiences a rude awakening when his most precious friends and his mother were phisically attacked by a revengeful terrorist enemy .In retrorespect, the result of course is a meddling action page turner storyline wich makes you awake all night long and here i have to admit that Brad has played fair game by letting scott to suffer anough and being humiliated before setting the records straight which of course is a tentative scenario for any action thriller novel criteria. However, i had to bear in mind that brad had made a little riddle bias notion when he implicated that bad muslim and good muslim differentiation is wishful thinking because the liberal ones are not doing enough to stand up against terrorism and i don't blame him for that because he probably would not be aware of the arab muslim liberal authors who wrote tremendous books against islamic fanatism and some of them were unfortunately were assassinated by the religious exteremists in egypt. Regardless, i am not in anyway whatsoever trying to discredit Brad thor and i had to admit his extraordinary skills but i felt obliged to indicate that not all muslims are terrorists on the contary majority of them are like any good chrishtian , jew , atheist or any other people who respect other religions and trying to be the best they can be in this earthy life.
