This book offers insights into the roots of Celtic Christianity, the pattern of the Celtic year, the Druids' role as seers and sayers and healers, the power of the Celtic poet, and gods, kings and heroes. The text is complemented by photographs of Celtic sites and landscapes, and drawings and paintings of Celtic characters, myths and legends. INTRODUCTION?? ELEMENTS??
I feel impelled to review this book only because it is so truly badly written. If you are looking for an introduction to this subject, a basic framework on which to build further research, please look elsewhere.
I approached this book with enthusiasm, but from the start found it very confusing, to the point where I think it is fair to say that it is written presuming prior knowledge. Even with such knowledge, the syle is stodgy and uninteresting.
Don't be put off looking into this fascinating subject by this awful book
