How to Make your dolls house special
This is in my view the best dolls house book I have read. There are step by step picture guides to many projects from windows, stairs, many types of roofing, to doors, room decoration and some furniture. The use of every day objects which only cost pennies to make gates, hedges, and balustrades, fire baskets etc . It also shows how to adapt houses and change them completely. I cant praise this book highly enough, it is one I know I will return to time and time again.

This is a book written by someone who became an expert at dolls houses, without any formal training, at quite a late age.
The idea's for constructing the dolls houses are quite good, although some of the artist's own can be aesthetically jarring (the victorian shop turned into a castle being one of them, as well as her own work on someone elses abandoned dolls house).
This is not a book for beginners: there are no patterns, no suggestions as to what type of dollshouse to look for, but as the title says, this book is mainly about embellishments and additions to an existing house.
A Very good read.
