Bought it in Greece on recommendation.
I bought this cookbook while I was studying abroad in Greece. I love to do gourmet cooking with authentic cuisine when I can, and had planned on buying a cookbook in Greek and having a friend translate. Instead, I found that at least a dozen of the locals had tried and loved this particular book when teaching their own foreign friends how to correctly prepare Greek food. Now I am doing the same with my family and friends!

The book is one of four I bought on the trip, and it is by far my favorite. Not only are the recipes themselves delicious, the step-by-step instructions and explanations of what unique ingredients are and why they are used, make this one of my favorite cookbooks out of an enormous collection. I can now cook a lot of Greek food from memory, but if I need a recipe, this is the text I refer to. Well worth the purchase.
