Dr Lyn Quine is a world authority on childrens sleep problems and she has successfully translated years of research and clinical experience into an easy-to-read guide, full of information and practical help. Customer Reviews

What a great help this book was!5
My son was waking at night, shaking and jerking uncontrollably, it was scary. Within 10 minutes of reading this book, I understood what was going on. The book went further and gave me a programme to follow, and it has worked like a dream.

I used the book again for a problem with my other child, who just did not want to go to sleep. I was expecting at least a fortnight of confrontation before he accepted the new schedule, but after only 2 nights he fell into the new routine and is sticking to it.

The book was easy to read, and easy to follow. I am very pleased that I bought this book and have already loaned it to a friend.

I would highly recommend this book ....5
For anyone suffering sleep deprivation with their toddler. My 3 year old was the perfect sleeper up until just after her third birthday. We then suffered 3 months of broken nights - not just the occasional stirring but on the hour, every hour, with her being hysterical. We were completely at the end of our tether and had completely run out of ideas. This book make us gather our thoughts, stay calm, and think things through properly (which had been very difficult). Within 4 days our daugther was sleeping through the night again - it was unbelievable! I was on the verge of giving up and then I read this. I would recommend this book to anyone - even my Health Visitor is now going to order a copy! Thank you Lyn Quine.

Excellent reference book5
I have a 2 and a half year old boy who was a sick baby. Due to the constant comforting and breast feeding as a baby, we developed bad habits. By that I mean I fed him to sleep, then rocked him to sleep, then lay with him till he fell asleep. Then I fell pregnant again, suddenly I realised what we were doing was fine for now, but what do when another baby comes along. The health visitor lent me this book, I thought Id try it, but didnt hold out much hope. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I couldnt believe how well, and quickly it worked. The flow chart is so easy to follow, and gives you the right plan to follow. The first few nights were not easy, but I held my ground and by night 3, he had learned I wasnt giving in, from then it was quite easy. I am at the stage of saying good night, and leaving him. He still shouts out to make sure im there once or twice, but what an improvement. I decided to buy the book for any further sleep problems, and also hopefully will help stop any sleep problems with new baby when it comes. Definetely recommend this book.
