About the Author
Jema Hewitt is a professional costume designer, working on projects for films, theatre and museums. As the owner of Kindred Spirits Bridal-Originals, she designs and creates historical and coloured wedding gowns. Jema's love of vintage beads and embroidery developed naturally into teaching and writing on a variety of subjects, from tiaras to corsetry. She has written two books on beaded jewellery and is a regular contributor to magazines.

Love this book
I am a compleat novice but found this book stright forward and informative. I've gleamed a lot of insights into the art of tiaras and bridal jewellery.

Truly excellent!
I have a few tiara making books and found this to be a truly inspiring addition to my collection.
The Author talks through how to make the basic tiaras (that are sold throughout the bridal and prom markets) and then moves swiftly onto new innovative designs with more advance tiara/jewellery making techniques and tools, such as wire work using a wig jig.
This book is designed to leave you with the skills and knowledge to design and create your own peices of artwork.
I personally liked the CD layout as it is extremely easy to use, especially for people like me who has little PC/technical ability.
I look forward to the Authors next publication.

Fantastic book, fabulous designs and ideas
After looking at several different tiara books i chose this one and boy was it the right choice!! The designs are gorgeous, I love the matching jewelley, there are some really different ideas and techniques to escape from the norm if you want to be a bit different, as well as the more traditional styles. Amazing to learn the secrets behind such a great designers pieces, fantastic idea to have on a cd cos you can print individual pics off, the step by step photos give easy to follow instructions making it almost simple to do even for a complete dunce like myself, have made myself some great pieces and get wonderful comments about them whenever i wear them, people always want to know where i got them, so its great to be able to recommend them this book!! if you want to make yourself some great pieces then look no further than this wonderful book.
