I am not sure why1
I bought this book as I was trying to do some pretty basic research into Garden Seats and it proved to be a huge disappointment. There are a couple of pages of text (which is not particluarly informative) followed by the rest of the book being reproductions of paintings of garden seats. There is very little detail about the seats themselves and the paintings are not sufficiently detailed to allow for any great appreciation of features of the garden seats. Sorry, but that is the way I feel - money poorly spent.
