Customer Reviews

Lots of nice photographs.2
Was expecting better information set out like previous Greek island guide books where they advise tourists on where the best places to go to and restaurants etc.

Lots of photos and descriptions but not set out to use easily.

The book is not bound together very well. I only received it yesterday and on opening it, 2 pages became unstuck very quickly. I normally take the guide with me when I go on holiday but can see this book staying at home. There isn't much choice on guides for Santorini. Hopefully as it is only a small island will find our way round and see everything we need to see. Have mangaded to get some info from the website so could have saved my money

Oh Dear!1
Guide to Santorini
This guide is so down-beat and outdated that I could have cried as I had already booked my holiday to Santrini. The author sounds negative and critical about the island's transport and other travellers and makes the whole travel experience feel like a hazardous chore. The only positive note is that he mentions most of the island's towns and villages, so should you feel daring enough to venture out you have some ideas of where to start. Now that I have seen the going rate for this book I wish I hadn't given it to the charity shop!

Retro style and scholarly approach3
This guide book had a lot of historical information and discussed all areas of the island, however the few photos were old and not the best quality. When I actually got to Santorini it was much more modern than I expected based on this book! If someone authors a more user-friendly guide I think it will do very well.
