Editorial Reviews

CD Description
On its third full length, the German six-piece band uses its double vocals, slashing guitar attack, and pummeling drumsto fuse metalcore, punk rock, and emo, on tracks like the pounding "Sleep Well" and the incisive "My Hopelessness and Me".

Customer Reviews

Very good album4
Combined with awesome riffs and catchy rhythm, the only little problem is the excess of screaming, it really starts to drag on, but dont let that put you off this band. Hope this has helped people thanks!

Great stuff5
I heard 'My Hopelessness And Me' on a Victory Records compilation CD, and when it came on I thought...wow great start, sounds like Bullet For My Valentine...

Oh no its better than that! The punk-like shouting is effective, and the screaming and more melodic parts are very good. The vocals dont sound too clean like with most albums, theres that more raw punk sound to it.

Also, the drums sound awesome! I dont know how to describe the sound...the bass is just very deep but quick and snappy at the same time.

I've only heard 3 or 4 songs, but I already know I have to get all 3 albums!

And I will. Because this is a great band.

cracking screamcore with melodic moments 4
waterdown are a german band who at times sound like fellow countrymen caliban but waterdown are more melodic and have leanings towards hardcore at times, they have two singers who throw up different ranges of screams and melodic clean vocals,i wouldnt go with the notion that they are straight forward metalcore, they just dont fit in with that description.
comparisons to from autumn to ashes, darkest hour, and thrice are obvious, some say that they sound like underoath,i dont go with that belief at all, waterdown are a band that wont break the mould but all riot is a very strong release with crunching riffs, frantic drumming and at times is confrontational and harrowing.
songs like cut the cord will rattle the bones in your rib cage,my hopelessness and me is a stormer that is different from everything else on the album,so they aint a band that stick to the formula throughout, moshpit etiquette is as belting as the title suggests and the riff is truly killer, till the very end and recruit finish the album and its easy to like the material on here, strong, frantic, fearsome and packed with melody, which is the always the ingredients for the best albums
