Worth A listen
I've always felt that this album has a somewhat restrained Cale on board. More similar to Riley's own work than Cale's but contains some pulsating rhythms with only one (but truly excellent) vocal track - worth it for that alone.
An interesting early Cale collaboration
A collaboration with Terry Riley that as some long
instrumental works featuring piano, organ, drums and various
wind instruments.
"The Hall of mirrors in the Palace of Versailles" is the best track on here. The short rocky piano duet "The Protege" works well too.
"The Soul of Patrick Lee" has vocals on it and doesn't really belong on the album-hence one star off.
