Buy new: £5.57 / Used from: £0.01
This book reaches the next level of JKR's series..much more adult. Sets the scene for 5,6 and 7. Definately one of the best, if not 'The' - jostling with Books 1&3,
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter 5)Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter 5) by J.K. Rowling
Buy new: £5.98 / Used from: £0.59
Still HP so still love it, but mixed feelings about OoTP. Much darker, didn't like the turn it took, did not flow as well as the others -could tell the writing had been interrupted. Fantastic though!
The Diary of a Young Girl: Definitive EditionThe Diary of a Young Girl: Definitive Edition by Anne Frank

Angela's AshesAngela's Ashes by Frank McCourt

One of the first autobio's I read - before reading this at 14 I had no idea they could be so well written and enjoyable, and so moving and interesting. Shows what I knew.

Just as good as its prequel - and so interesting to read 'what came next'...permanent place on my bookshelf.
The Forests of AvalonThe Forests of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

The Complete Plays (Penguin Classics)The Complete Plays (Penguin Classics) by Christopher Marlowe
Buy new: £7.69 / Used from: £4.99
Yes, my tastes do range to the more sophisticated too. Thoroughly enjoyed studying Dr Faustus, so went and bought this. Happily working my way through this.
Pride and Prejudice (Oxford World's Classics)Pride and Prejudice (Oxford World's Classics) by Jane Austen

ElizabethElizabeth by David Starkey
Buy new: £6.67 / Used from: £0.01
I love Tudor history. I'm not a huge fan of Starkey, though. I've avoided buying more of his books..but there are a couple just itching to be read. Notice this is on my favourites.

Forever AmberForever Amber by Kathleen Winsor
Buy new: £7.65 / Used from: £4.49
I confess to being ever so slightly romantic...I love this. Most of all, however, I love the historical info contained within its pages and the fact it was written and published (1st) at such a time..
The Man in the Iron Mask (Oxford World's Classics)The Man in the Iron Mask (Oxford World's Classics) by Alexandre Dumas (père)

Les Miserables (Penguin Popular Classics)Les Miserables (Penguin Popular Classics) by Victor Hugo

Songs of Innocence and of Experience: William Blake (Oxford Student Texts)Songs of Innocence and of Experience: William Blake (Oxford Student Texts) by William Blake
Buy new: £10.50 / Used from: £0.01
I'm not saying I enjoy all of his poems, many are, frankly, empty, esp. Songs of Innocence. But some, such as the Poison Tree, stick with me forever.
The BeachThe Beach by Alex Garland
Buy used from: £0.01
A pain to study (try comparing it to The Catcher In The Rye) but a fantastic book.
The Wild RoadThe Wild Road by Gabriel King

I said this list was childhood favourites included...similar to Watership. Love this book - and its sequal. If you like Watership, you'll like these..
