    what an amazing improvement!

Smart ST2005 is far far better in every way than the other Navigation Software I have used, both of which were generally fine.Maps are richly detailed, informative, accurate, and colourful. Voice instructions are simply the best I have heard, and again clear, concise, and accurate. You can really rely on them alone, without recourse to the screen, which is something I couldn't quite manage with the others.

Route input and planning is easy, logical and reliable. Turn instructions very clear, and Back on Track re-routing is lightning quick!

All this housed in a stylish PDA running Pocket PC 2003, with all the organisation tools, data management, and diary functions neccessary to me.

I highly recommend this device to others. I love it!

What a piece of kit for the price! Today I tested it using the built in Smart ST to drive sat nav to the North York Moors. Then I used memory map 1:25k to sat nav a walk around Kepwick. First class accuracy on both counts. However when setting up memory map with the built in GPS set the manufacturer to NMEA (not Navman), the port to com8 and the baud to 9600. Then you will be flying. All this and Word, Exel, and all the other features. What good value- buy it!

    Good Value4
I bought my PIN from Amazon which is delivered very quickly (within a week) and is the best value I found. This is my first GPS and chosen it because of the price and the PDA ability. I live in Central London and the GPS is OK, not great. (It takes the journey from Waterloo to Tower Bridge for it to locate the GPS, but once settle it is good, however tunnels are major problems for this GPS) I would like to have a full postcode search but roads are just as good. I used it to travel around the west country this week and prove to be very quick in locking GPS and get to my Travelodge everytime. However I could it is very hard to add a "via" point and it end up sending you to the middle of no where. You cannot choose the route, only one is availiable. Mine has also locked up several times, however when I am patient with it (do not change to 2D or other views while it is giving verbal directions, it doesn't like it and will punish you with a lock up).

Overall: Pros- 1.Price 2.Features of PDA
Cons- 1.No Full Postcode 2.Can Lock up from time to time

I have not regretted getting it, definitely a better choice over the similar priced Garmin I3
