Make sure you get this one or one of the other in the PC range. If it doesn't say PC in the product name then don't bother - you won't be able to remove the files from the device. This one is great, no crackling, no fuss and holds a lot of data. thumbs up from me!

Very good product - records numbered tracks and can place into 5 folders - easy to access when plugged into PC. Can also transfer files to it from a PC.

Small enough to slip into pocket, runs for ages on two AAA batteries. So intuitive to use you barely need the instructions. Excellent product !

    Small but rather excellent5
Actually, being small is no bad thing for a voice recorder. The VN3500PC is great. It records clearly, sharply and from a surprisingly long way away. The batteries last and last - I'd say, maybe, 100 hours or more. That's a guess. I've used mine for 10 hours' recording and the charge meter says they're still full.

Downloading via the supplied mini USB to USB cable is child's play - for both Mac and PC, and, frankly, I can't find anything negative to say about any element of it.

I record everything in High Quality, and it holds over 8hrs 30m of that, so unless you're recording people who talk longer than Fidel Castro in his heyday, don't bother with SP and LP - just download the files, erase them and go again.

Oh, it doubles as a small, store-anything (it's only 128Mb) flash drive, but remember to delete all the different language manuals off it when you get it. They take up a load of space.

Final thing. It's dead easy to use (read the manual once if you must), and it's actually rather a cute gadget, too. I'm thinking of getting another to keep in the car. But I'm holding off because a) I suspect recording into one is illegal as you drive and b) I'll look like Alan Partridge.
