habitrail ovo hamster home
i bought this hamster home for my daughter at xmas. i thought it looked cool and would appeal to younger children .it looks good but my daughters syrian hamster chews and can open the cage from the inside and 3 out of 7 nights a week escapes. we have replaced the product several times thinking pehaps it wont happen again , but she does the same again. we also added the maze on to this product as it was far to small living space when she was fully grown. not recommended for dwarf hamsters as they are too small to climb through the tunnels and as the water bottle is upstairs, not a good idea.
also i am not convinced the tunnel for the water bottle is big enough, my hamster has to lie on its back to get a drink, whats that about?? surely thats not right is it?
in short, looks nice but not big enough without add ons. be warned, syrian hamsters chew and can escape this cage.
i am not sure if i would recommend this product. yes its easy to claen , but bit complicated putting back together the first few times, like most cages i Imagen. its ok.
