The leather will scratch easily but these marks will blend in time adding to the character of the bag. The main flap is luxuriously leather lined and double stitching at the top ends of the bag adds strength and durability. The base is flat. The interior is fully lined and slightly padded for a touch of luxury. The bag opens wide which makes it easier to locate contents. This is a wonderfully big bag with a large laptop compartment sandwiched between two further A4 sized compartments and containing handy pockets for mobile phone, credit cards and pen. Even if you dont carry a laptop, this would make a fabulous bag for work as the interior laptop cover (skin) is removable; the laptop cover measures 39.5 x 29 x 5 cms and the bag can comfortably carry standard laptops up to 17. The elegantly rolled double handles allow the bag to be stylishly hand-held. The accompanying long adjustable leather strap enables the bag to be worn over-the-shoulder or hands-free, cross-body. Lovely bag, too big, costly postage
Bag was lovely, but too big. Sent bag back, but ended up costing me £15 for delivery/return postage. Don't buy this bag unless you are CERTAIN you will keep it. Otherwise, customer service was very good.

Nice to look at but poor quality leather
I think my title says it all. The bag is beautiful to look at but unfortunately the leather on the flap has worn off, the carrying strap fell apart when I was in the metro in Paris with my laptop in the bag and a couple of the leather tags on the inside pockets have snapped too. Not brilliant quality. However, loads of storage pockets, very pratical. Over-sized is definitely the term that fits. Maybe even a bit too big for a work bag, unless you have to carry around an awful lot of files.
