Good support & same McDavid quality but not Sure about the design
Having suffered from tendonitis in my right hand for many years I bought the McDavid metacarple wrist support late last year in an attempt to halt the progression of my problem. Now that support is great, restricts movement and promotes healing, the trouble was that I also received a new vertical mouse from my work place that the metacarple wrist brace didn't work well.
The result was I compensated to allow them to work together causing pain to occur in my lower arm and shoulder.

I persisted with the brace but now I've reached the point where its more cumbersome than pain relieving so I revisited this support which I'd discounted at the time as not providing enough support.

Now the trouble with the normal elasticated ones - even sports versions they tend to be whole, i.e you slide them over your wrist and in my experience unless you have the ideal wrist size they'll either be too tight and uncomfortable or too loose and have little benefit.

But this is where this supports strange design comes in. Out of the box looks more like a hotel "Do Not Disturb" sign with a piece of velcro attached which you slide over your thumb then wrap around your wrist in a diagonal manner.

This makes putting it on is more trial and error than the wrist brace but that does mean it offers much more ability to tailor the support to your own needs, including putting it on backwards if you so desire.

Support is variable based on how you apply the support, I'm wearing it to type this and it feels supported but a little loose around the back of the hand but support on the actual wrist tendon area is good.
However when I it put on tightly the pressure and discomfort on the thumb is not good so it seems to be a trade off.

The support is made of the same material as the brace with the thermal healing properties McDavid vaunt on the packaging and that I can vouch does make a big difference to reducing inflamation.

My concern is the thumb hole due to the design.
All the stress of the support centers on this hole when it is worn, shown by the fact that if you apply it too tightly the thumb becomes uncomfortable.
While this support seems to be pretty soft an comfortable my concern is I am not convinced that it will stand the rigors of everyday use that well - I guess only time will tell and for that reason only 3 stars

WRIST SUPPORT
I have been experiencing pain in my right hand/wrist so ordered this product and have found, after a couple of days, that the pain is not so severe when I wear the wrist support. Very easy-to-use and nice and compact.
