Product Description

Josie Flynn is in New York for the wedding of Martha, her American cousin. Having just been through a messy divorce, she’s hardly in the mood to don a lilac bridesmaid’s dress, especially when she thinks Martha is about to marry the wrong man. In fact, Josie is all for talking Martha out of what could be the biggest mistake of her life. Which is all very noble, until Josie meets Matt Jarvis and appears to be about to fall for the wrong man herself. And when an ex-husband, an old flame, a dubious boy-band and a seriously determined duck enter the picture who can tell where it will all end . . .

From the Author
Thank you!
A big thank you to everyone who has taken the trouble to email me with kind comments or to put a review on Amazon. It means a lot to know that there are people out there who are not only reading my books, but also enjoying them! It makes the fingers of an isolated writer type just that little bit faster. The only scary thing is how many people contact me to say that the books are an accurate reflection of their current situations - and I thought it was only me who had such a tortured love life! I now know I'm in very good company...

If you haven't yet bought one of my novels, you never know what you might be missing. Go on, dive in! There are no London wine bars and no Jimmy Choo's just very real characters with very real problems who manage to find the funny side of making a mess of their lives. Don't we all! It's cheaper than two Bacardi Breezers and it won't leave you with a headache, but it will give you a couple of hours of fun and laughter. What more can you ask? With all good wishes... Carole Matthews : )

An uproarious story of love, life and why we keep saying 'I do'...

Customer Reviews

A great 'feel good' book4
I've read all of Carole Matthews' books and they've all been great. 'For Better or Worse' is no exception. I had a hard time trying not to laugh out loud on the train while I was reading this book. It will make you laugh on nearly every page. There are a few parts where you'll want to cry too, but all in all this is a great 'feel good' book. I thought this was a terrific book and I would recommend it to anyone. I would also recommend the previous three books by Carole Matthews, they are all brilliant and I can't wait for more!

Side-splitting laughter!5
I bought this book because I wanted to try a new author and it is probably the best read I have had in a long time. The descriptions, the metaphors, the language and the US/UK contrast are brilliantly folded into each other to make the most hilarious novel I have ever read! I could not put the book down. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! It will keep you up all night...

Carole's done it again!4
Yet again, another great book from the pen of Carole Matthews. She has the ability to make you feel so close to her characters, you really CARE what happens to Josie Flynn. In addition the warm, witty humour is always evident to keep you turning the pages furiously. Well done Carole.
