David Currell is widely recognised as a leading authority on puppet theatre. He was a co-founder of the national Puppet Centre and its chairperson for nearly twenty years. He has written numerous books on puppetry but this is his first to focus excluslvely upon the marionette, his puppetry specialism since his early teens.
Customer Reviews
Cum grano salis
I found this to be an excellent and informative study resource. I knew very little about marionettes when I started and found every one of my questions answered.
Puppet Maker
An excellent instruction book for those wanting to create Marionette Puppets. I have just completed construction of my first Marionette. I have found it invaluable in terms of advise on design, materials and especially what joints to use. There are sections on stringing, types of controls as well as the manipulation of your puppet. Clear explanatory drawings and well as photographic examples.
