I wrote for and mapped this book, which contains my first published words for WFRP. My two articles in this book detail river life in the Empire and add some water-related beasties, including the dreaded Bog Octopus.

Good, but not vital...
I bought this book hoping for an extravaganza. It's an anthology of various articles that can't seem to work their way to seomwhere more suitable. It includes information about Old world Circuses, if for some reason you should encouter one on your travels, not much though. It has rules for bulk trading, which I found rather useful, rules for living on the river reik, with a few new careers. Pretty important, then, it has rules for medicine in the old worl,d when I heard that, I though
"Great, some expanded rules" but, no, just one table to see how learned your surgeon is. It has some nice taverns as well to haul your PC's into, then a random chapter about star signs and how your character reacets to situations, not very sueful I found. It has some info about the imperial gunnery school, and a new advanced career. Then a new gunpowder shop to visit, informative, but I havn't used it yet. The books best though is the bestiary, a whole swarm of monsters to dig into, bog octopi, huge leeches, patchwork men, mermaids....


Not an essential buy, but worth it.
