Synopsis
This work presents a twisted adventure set deep in the heart of the ever changing kingdoms of the Border Princes. Players must negotiate both the undead horrors of a long forgotten tomb, and the grasping ambitions of the petty princes who have sent them to recover an item of unsupassed power. Will they play the factions off against each other or simply opt to take the artefact for themselves? Will they survive the traps and tribulations of the adventure? Will they succumb to plague, terror and the guardians of the tomb? And how will they cope with the final twist in the tale - when they discover the issue is not what they have been sent to return from the grave...but who. Not only does "Lure of the Lich Lord" contains a thrilling adventure, but also extensive appendicies on tombs, traps, treasure and monsters that might all be found when plundering a tomb.

Lack-lustre tomb raiding
A fine example of how not to write an adventure. I bought the book for the tomb itself, which looked like a great setting and takes up the vast majority of the book. Unfortunately the author has strived for too much detail and ended with some rather confused descriptions in places - there are numerous examples of contradictory traps that are just unworkable. As a result it's just not possible to run the game straight from the book without some 'fudging'.
The book also includes a confused background plot involving chaos cults which feels very much like an after thought and is completely unnecessary.
There is a decent section of traps, which I found very useful, and a good list of new creatures to populate tombs and barrows across the Old World.
Overall the book was a big let-down. The tomb would actually have benefited from having less time dedicated to it, allowing individual GMs to take what they wanted. If you're interested in tomb raiding in Khemri then it's certainly worth considering, but you would probably do a better job yourself.
Not a complete waste of time, but certainly one of the poorest examples of a published adventure/campaign I've come across in any system.
