...trad power metal, metallicallly powered...
Well if you're one of those people who've been bemoaning the peculiar direction that Helloween have taken of late, then you might find that Heavenly could fill your power metal void.
Chunky of riff, skyscraping vocals, piercing solos and thunderous bass, what more could a poor boy want? Well a tad more originality wouldn't go amiss, but in a genre full of stereotypes, that might be pushing it. And I say that with love, I'm just being realistic here.
This French mob have been on the go since 1994 and this, thei fourth album, does have some killer numbers, the melodic ''Spill Blood On Fire" being one and the brutally orchestral title track another. I had a good time here, and if traditional power metal is your thing, then so should you.
