The one you've been waiting for ...
Coming to the Circus from a background of Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment and Vanden Plas, my standards were bound to be high, and the lads from Norway were going to have to be on their mettle. The good news is that they are worth every penny and are a real find. This is only their second CD but they are already highly accomplished and will find their way into many prog metal fans' collections. And quite possibly the track 'Arrival of Love' will find its way into some people's top ten, elbowing out much bigger names.

So what are they like? They are DT with a vocalist you can listen to all day; they are LTE with lyrics and VP with consistency. You could put 'Sane No More', the one instrumental track, in with Liquid Tension and you'd be hard pressed to tell which was the odd man out - they are that good! I hope Petrucci, Levin, Portnoy and Rudess are taking notes.

Get this CD. Right from the two crashes at the very beginning you know you're going to have to sit up and pay attention, and before you know it you've got to the end and are playing it through again. So many new groups are a gamble but this one is a dead cert. And I take a lot of pleasing ...
