Product Description

The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom. - Danny Blanchflower This famous quote from the captain of the great Tottenham Hotspur double-winning side tells you everything you need to know about this great club and why it is known throughout the world for serving up football for connoisseurs. Some of the greatest players to grace the English game have worn the famous white shirt including Ramsey, Blanchflower, Mackay, Greaves, Hoddle, Ardiles, Gascoigne, Lineker, Klinsmann and Ginola ensuring a history rich in drama and sheer quality. This remarkable DVD commemorates 125 glorious years of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, recounting its history, celebrating the great players, the glorious matches and the spectacular goals and containing rare behind the scenes footage from the present day. Jurgen Klinsmann, Glenn Hoddle, Dave Mackay, Martin Jol, David Ginola, Daniel Levy and Sir Alan Sugar feature among the long list of exclusive interviews that help paint this comprehensive and stylish picture of Spurs past and present.

Customer Reviews

Spurfect!5
I thought this was a beautifully produced fitting marker for the great club's 125th anniversary. It consists of 11 chapters and a quirky bonus one featuring Alan Sugar and David Ginola. Particularly impressive is the historical stuff - the great players chapter and the great games and the history time lines. Best of all is the biopic of the great Bill Nicholson. Any true Spurs fan is guaranteed to well up at this. All in all several Leagues apart from your usual football DVD.

spurs fans only3
bought this for a massive spurs fan and they loved it (i am not a spurs fan so my opinion does not count)
but in general a good retrospective of over a century of a top level football club
so i would recommend this for all spurs fans and those who love their football history

glitches2
Found this to be a comprehensive coverage of the club -but totally ruined by the fact that so called 'glitches' or stoppages in the running of the DVD completely spoilt any enjoyment any SPURS fans might get from trying to watch this
