A thoroughly good book - good value for money.4
This is a fantastic book which is so easy to follow. I like the way that each double page covers a 10-year period in history. What enthusiasts will also love is the way that the Underground maps themselves have been translated into the style of today's map. For example, the very first ever 1863 map is accurate, but in the style of the 2007 tube map. And so, you can flick through the pages to literally see how the tube network has expanded. The book is complete with diagrams, photographs and key data; including: Stations renamed within this decade, stations closed, stations opened and any other significant pieces of information.

I think this is a good book, with outstanding features. Go buy!

Spread of London's Underground5
What a great book. I bought it for my 5 year old who is fascinated by the Underground System. It was the first present he opened on Christmas Day and he spent the next half hour looking through the book and ignoring all his other (unwrapped) presents! All the adults in the house also had a good look through the book when they could get their hands on it!

A must if you are interested in how the Underground system was built.

good stuff!4
really like this book as it gives a detailed account of how the underground has spread across our great metropolis. fascinating to also see that the metropoliatan used to extend as far as Aylesbury! A must for any London Transport fan.
