What a brilliant book!
I thought I'd share this fab book I purchased a couple of days ago. It's called All Wrapped Up!: Groovy Gift Wrap of the 1960s, it's by Kevin Akers, and you really have to check it out. Fans of the illustration, color combos, and design techniques of the sixties will really love it, as will folks (like me) who think that everyday things like gift wrap say more about a time and place than most history books. There are poodles a-plenty, as well as kittens in space helmets, super groovy psychedelic bridal shower patterns, and some amazing abstract patterns.
Have you ever walked into a bookstore, picked up a book, glanced inside, then walked immediately to the cashier to buy it? Yeah, that was me with this book.

Keep This One Out on the Coffee Table!
This has something for everyone! Starting from the sophisticated book design and well-researched copy to the hundreds and hundreds of fantastic gift wraps. A must-have guide to 1960s design and illustration. Sections that were my favorites: Animals, Man's Interest, Flower Power and 1960s Patterns. I loved it so much I bought 6 copies for friends!

Retro Heaven
I love this book! Having bought it without ever having seen a copy or hearing from anyone who owned it, I was a little nervous about whether it would actually be of any interest to me. I'm happy to say I was thrilled with my purchase! The illustrations are beautiful. If you are at all interested in 50s/60s/70s design I think you'll find something to admire within these pages. It's a good sized book, bursting at the seams with colourful retro gems guaranteed to inspire any textiles, graphics or general art and design fan.
