Caution before buying this book
Caution before buying this book - although it appears to be an excellent book if reading about advanced driving is all you intend to do, last time I contacted the Institiute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) about their "Skills for life" scheme, they were giving the book away as part of the membership pack. For this reason, if you are considering joining the IAM in the near future, you might want to check whether the free book is still part of their membership scheme before parting with your cash and buying it seperately. However, if you wish to gain an insight into advanced driving before/without joining the IAM, buy this book without any hesitation for a well layed-out, interesting and possibly life-saving read.

Great book if taking the IAM test
I think this book is very good, and definatly worth the price. Although a little short it does cover all main subjects. It has a very simple and easy to follow aproach and a must if you are thinking of taking the test. Although there are many more indepth books if you really want to get into advanced driving, such as Roadcraft for instance. Only the depth off this book lets it down, hence only 4 stars.

An excellent guide to being a better driver
An excellent book with plenty of photographs to show what they mean. Clear and concise.
