Like other New Age pioneers, Georg Chaitanya Hari Deuter discovered his musical voice, as well as Indian philosophy, inthe 1960s, when he began experimenting with the sounds of nature. Over the course of 30 years, he has been one of the more prolific and successful musicians of his genre, and his albums have become mainstays of meditation and healing sessions.
On LIKE THE WIND IN THE TREES, his flute, as usual, remains the centrepiece, subtly evoking a Japanese garden. "Reflections 2" makes the most of silence and a subdued wind chime, isolating Deuter's bamboo flute strains.
