From the Author
Great looking skin from within
You’ve all heard the ‘chocolate gives you spots’ story, here we delve into the real imbalances underlying skin problems.

Your skin is more than a case for your body with some hair here, a few bumps and creases there – the stuff that keeps your insides in. As your largest organ, stretched out your skin would cover a double bed, and it weighs as much as a small dog. Yet some people are still surprised that sorting out their insides, balancing their diet and keeping healthy can go a long way to relieving skin problems, slowing down ageing and keeping them looking great.

Readers and journalists have praised the book for its practicality and clarity, not to mention that it is actually an interesting read. Even the chapters on the background to internal skin care cut through any scientific jargon and get straight to the point.

So if you’re up for knowing what’s really getting under your skin, read this book at any level: go straight to the chapter that tells you how to deal with your particular skin problem; take an in-depth look behind the scenes, for example why getting your gut healthy can help eczema; or – one for all of us – how to really slow down the creeping lines.

Customer Reviews

Easy to use book5
This book is really easy to read and understand. The suggestions made are straightforward and items pretty easy to source.
As with all Patrick Holford's book, it all makes sense.

definitely worth a read4
I've had trouble with my skin for many years, tried all sorts of treatments, alternative remedies/therapies and changes in diet but the advice in this book around supplements and what to increase has really helped.

Nothing new here3
I bought this after my doctor told me that my skin problems were caused by a hormone imbalance! I was very disappointed as the contents are the same as other books I have on the subject......some good advice but it didn't help with the overall appearance of my skin, even though I followed it to the T!
As hormones are so individual, it may prove to be 100% perfect for other people, so for the small cost, could well be worth a go!
