Let the Title Serve as a Warning!
This book does little to engender understanding about autism, which is a sensory/neurobiological condition that affects sensory processes and communication. The condition is as varied as there are individuals who have it. Autism is not a disease. The one good thing this book had to offer was the inclusion of services for adults with autism. Even so, that was not enough to make this book one worth recommending.

The title is a misnomer and with the excellent body of literature that currently exists about autism, readers are well advised to read other works instead.
