Betty Buckley's fabulous show 'Stars and the Moon' at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre takes in her favorite songwriters and their songs.

About Influences and Inspiration:
"I know in my heart that I am a jazz artist. It's all about spontaneity - the here and now - the connection we have with one another - with music as our vehicle.

I work with jazz musicians. Growing up, great jazz musicians - singers, instrumentalists - were my most powerful influences. The immediacy of working with incredible jazz artists like Kenny Werner is euphoric. A song with Kenny is like a wild ride - chords, emotion, tone, feeling and sound affect us both and the journey changes in a millisecond. Tony Marino and Jamey Haddad influence the time and direction with enormous sensitivity, texture and rhythm."
