Mel Smith & Griff Rhys Jones came together at the BBC (like all good comedy acts) on the now infamous Not The Nine O'Clock News. Their friendship and working relationship grew despite Griff being an old Cambridge Footlights product while Mel was an Oxford chap. From Alas Smith & Jones through to movies such as Wilt and Morons From Outer Space their ability to make themselves and other laugh has left an enduring mark on British Comedy.
