Superman, super book
Archives, Volume 1, showcases the first few issues of Superman (original series). The art has been recolored and lightly touched over; otherwise this is the closest you'll ever come to actually owning the original issues of Superman save for actually paying the money for them... Considering it would cost well over $100000 to get the original comics found in this book, it's a pretty darn good deal. Recommended reading for ANY Superman collector. Hardback, with color book cover. Siegel and Shuster's greatest gift to the world.

Great value for money intro to Superman
This book is a must for any serious DC fan. You get high quality reproductions of the early adventures of Superman. As mentioned by another reviewer, purchasing originals would cost tens of thousands of pounds.
Most people will be surprised at the early portrayal of Superman. He is not as muscular or tall as today's version, and Clark Kent is portrayed as an absolute coward (much to Lois Lane's disgust) but I felt that this portrayal went back to a more innocent and humble interpretation of the Man of Steel.
A great way for serious fans to start their collections!

Is a must for Suerman fans to read this book.
Those who really like Superman must read this book but those who only like the actual Superman must not buy it. Why? Because if you compare Superman's actual art to his art 60 years ago, there's a change!
